Our Recruitment Process
We are looking for women who are just like you.
Women who are caring, giving, innovative, leaders who want to make their mark and give back to their community as they form a sisterhood together. We want to recruit today’s modern sorority woman. A woman who will be invested in her academics, learn key skills for a successful future, and be empowered to change the world.
Tri Sigma works very hard to find women that not only meet our membership standards but also share a common vision for what a new chapter would be or do here at Penn State. While they come from diverse backgrounds and share a variety of interests, a shared vision for their sisterhood is what brings the group together and makes a viable new chapter.
Spring 2019
Tri Sigma will be on campus when the semester begins and we will be happy to meet with any interested students.

Meet Tri Sigma Information Sessions: Sigma and State
Our team will host sessions of our Meet Tri Sigma event over the course of the recruitment period. Attire is casual and you may arrive at any time during the event to learn more about Tri Sigma. These fun, drop by events are designed to answer your questions and give you all the information about the Beta Upsilon chapter at Penn State.

Recruitment Specialty Events
Recruitment is all about making friends and having fun! We hope you will join us at some of these optional recruitment events to get to know Tri Sigma and the other potential new members a little better! We plan on having a Sigma Serves Children Philanthropy Event, a Sigma and the Super Bowl party, and a variety of other sisterhood events.
Saturday February 2: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm - The Makery - Join us for a fun craft event at The Makery (205 W. Calder Way) Need to register in advance, limited spots available. Date full - sign up for February 8th event
Sunday February 3: 6:30 pm - Super Bowl Party in Cross Hall Meeting Room - Come support the teams, the commercials or the halftime show!
Tuesday February 5: 12:00 pm - HUB - Pancake Artist - Dancakes @drdancakes - Stop by and see fun pancake art and learn more about Tri Sigma's philanthropy and future support of THON

Wednesday February 13: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Invitation Only Event. Attire is dressy casual.
Personal Interviews
Tri Sigma staff and alumnae representatives will hold personal interviews beginning on February 11th. Any potential new member interested in joining Tri Sigma must attend a personal interview. Attire for personal interviews is dressy casual.

Tri Sigma Recruitment Requirements
To be considered for membership in Tri Sigma at Penn State, potential new members must
-Complete a Personal Interview with Tri Sigma Representative
-Have a High School/College GPA of 2.5 or higher
-Meet all the criteria for membership as established by Penn State, which include
- At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Completed at least 14 credits at a Penn State campus OR 27 transfer credits OR be classified as an adult learner by Penn State
- Not be subject to any pending or active conduct violations
- Complete the Sorority and Fraternity Life Informational Quiz
